Plain-language summary: childfairy.com collects what you type into our contact form (name, email, message) to reply to you, plus anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed and which buttons are clicked) — no accounts, no cookies, no ad tracking. We're a small, independent publisher preparing our first app; this policy will be expanded and reviewed by a lawyer before that app collects any data, especially given it's aimed at children.

Who we are

Child Fairy Publications ("we," "us," "our") publishes the Child Fairy series of children's books and operates childfairy.com. You can reach us at hello@childfairy.com.

Information we collect on this website

The only information childfairy.com currently collects is what you voluntarily submit through our contact form: your name (optional), your email address (required, so we can reply), and your message. This is sent directly to our inbox and is not stored in any database, shared with advertisers, or used for marketing without your separate consent.

Our web server keeps standard technical logs (like IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting, the same as almost every website. We don't use these logs for tracking or advertising, and we don't use advertising cookies on this site.

Anonymous website statistics. We use Umami (cloud.umami.is), a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits and see which pages and buttons (for example, the "Buy on Amazon" buttons) people use. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites; it records things like the page visited, the referring site, your general country, browser and device type. It honors your browser's "Do Not Track" setting. We don't use these statistics for advertising and we don't sell or share them. This applies to the website only, not to the Child Fairy app.

Children's privacy

childfairy.com itself is a marketing website intended for parents, caregivers, and educators — not for children to use directly or submit information to. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.

We are developing a Child Fairy app for children. Before that app collects, stores, or transmits any information — including information that might come from a child — we will publish a dedicated, COPPA-compliant privacy notice for it, obtain verifiable parental consent wherever required, and avoid behavioral advertising to children, in line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's Kids Category requirements. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us in a way that concerns you, contact us at hello@childfairy.com and we'll delete it.

Purchases

Child Fairy books are sold through Amazon (via Kindle Direct Publishing). We never see or collect your payment details — those purchases are handled entirely by Amazon under Amazon's own privacy policy.

To respond to messages sent through our contact form.
To keep our website secure and working correctly.
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for us to hold it, at any time, by emailing hello@childfairy.com.

As our business grows — especially once our app launches — this policy will be updated to reflect what data that app actually collects and how. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever that happens.
